The helicopter crash in the Russian Federation

On September 26, a private Robinson R44 helicopter crashed in the Arkhangelsk region of Russia. Two people on board were killed.

Propagandists confirmed the crash, citing sources in the emergency services. The Russian media had previously stated that the Robinson R44 could have been flying Arkhangelsk City Duma deputy Sergei Smetanin and local businessman Alexei Semenov.

What was left of the plane was found near the village of Bychye. The helicopter disappeared from radar the day before, in the evening of September 26.

Russian so-called law enforcement officials opened a criminal case and are investigating the details of the crash. The Investigative Committee claims that the flight was not coordinated and its plan was not submitted.
