The Scottish Wildlife Trust is looking for a manager to work on the island of Handa. It is an uninhabited island with a large colony of birds. Handa is located off the west coast of Sutherland.

It is reported by the New York Post. The salary for the ranger is 31 thousand dollars a year (2.5 thousand dollars). The ad states that the Handa Island Ranger will "effectively manage" the beautiful remote island.

The island has no permanent residents, so this opportunity would suit someone who would be happy living away from the city. There are no special requirements, but you must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

The position has a fixed six-month contract starting in March. "Handa is an internationally recognized breeding ground for birds such as guillemots, razorbills, and magnificent skuas. It offers stunning views of the northwest coast of Scotland and the distinctive Torridon sandstone mountains," the report says.
