A 9-year-old Ukrainian girl missing in Germany was found dead in the woods: details have emerged

A 9-year-old girl from Ukraine who disappeared on June 3 on her way to school was found dead in Germany . Valeria had been living in Germany with her mother since 2022. The child's body was found in the woods three kilometers from her home in Debelle, Saxony. The cause of death was presumed to be murder.

This was announced on June 12 by representatives of the German police at a press conference, German media reported. As noted, the child had been actively searched for since the disappearance, and on Tuesday, June 11, the police found her body.

The autopsy confirmed the identity.

More than 400 police officers, helicopters and sniffer dogs were involved in the search for the child, BLICK.de reports.
