Recently, the Conference League and Europa League played the third qualifying round matches to determine the participants in the knockout stages. Two matches were particularly memorable for the fans due to their incredible dramatic outcomes and extraordinary events.

The meeting between Greek Panathinaikos and Dutch Ajax in the Europa League gave the audience the second penalty shootout in the history of European competitions. The team from Athens lost the first home match with a minimal score, but in Amsterdam, they managed to score in the 89th minute thanks to a goal by former Shakhtar Donetsk player Tete.

The game went overtime, and then reached penalty shootout, in which the rivals went crazy. The players needed 34 shots to determine the winner, and Ajax's players were stronger 13:12.

In the Conference League, Polish Śląsk and Swiss St. Gallen played an equally spectacular match. The neighbors of our country, having lost 0-2 away, staged a comeback at home in the first half, scoring three goals in seven minutes.

The home team managed to get three red cards after the break, two of which in stoppage time. In total, there were 26 minutes of added time, and the Swiss scored a saving goal in the 90+18th from the penalty spot and moved on.
