10 out of 15 – Ukrainians: the most expensive football players in the world from the "CIS countries"

Ten Ukrainian footballers from the so-called CIS countries have been named among the top 15 most expensive players in the world. The list also includes two representatives of Georgia, one Armenian and two Russians, one of whom plays in the French championship.

The relevant data was published by the popular Transfermarkt portal, which specializes in transfers and statistics. It named the midfielder of Italian side Napalo, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, as the most expensive, with an estimated price of 80 million euros.

Behind him are Ukrainians Oleksandr Zinchenko from London's Arsenal and Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea. Their transfer prices, according to analysts, are 42 and 35 million in European currency. Spanish Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is quoted alongside Mudryk.

The top five is rounded out by our forward of the Spanish Girona Artem Dovbyk, who is valued at €30 million. The list also includes other players of the Ukrainian national team – Vitalii Mikolenko, Illia Zabarnyi, Viktor Tsyhankov (all €28 million), Heorhii Sudakov, Anatolii Trubin (both €25 million), Mykola Matvienko (€20 million) and Andrii Lunin (€16 million).

The total value of the Ukrainian players on the list is €277 million. In general, the current national team of our country is estimated at €354.5 million.
