The demand for used cars in Ukraine has increased significantly. Buyers prefer used cars because of their affordability, giving preference to foreign ones.
The Ukravtoprom organization notes that in 2024, sales of used cars in Ukraine accounted for three quarters of the total car market. During the year, 222.1 thousand used cars were registered. This is 4% more than in 2023.
The most popular used cars in Ukraine in 2024:
- Volkswagen Golf - 12,164 units;
- Renault Megane - 9,608 units;
- Skoda Octavia - 8,083 units;
- Volkswagen Passat - 6,570 units;
- Volkswagen Tiguan - 5,988 units;
- Nissan Leaf - 5,511 units;
- Audi Q5 - 5,316 units;
- Nissan Rogue - 4,950 units;
- Tesla Model 3 - 4,639 units;
- Mazda CX-5 - 3,851 units.
The top three are well-known models (Volkswagen Golf, Renault Megane, Skoda Octavia). These used cars always occupy the top positions in the ratings, sometimes swapping places.
The average age of used cars was 9 years. The largest share of used cars imported from abroad was taken by gasoline cars - 47%. The smallest share - by hybrids and cars with LPG (5% each).
