It would seem that the active season for gardeners is over. The most important thing in November is to prepare perennials for winter, fertilize the soil, and make reliable shelters. The last month of fall is particularly important for gardening.

In November, you can sow winter crops to get a generous and early harvest next season. OBOZ.UA tells you what can be planted in November and what are the favorable dates for garlic, onions, and carrots.

What is a sowing calendar

Gardeners have long used the lunar sowing calendar, which suggested favorable and unfavorable days for different types of work. For example, during the new moon phase, it was not recommended to plant or fertilize anything. You can only do pruning or preventive maintenance in the garden. The waxing Moon is the best time to harvest and fertilize the soil.

Thanks to the influence of the moon's phases on plant growth and following simple recommendations, you can avoid periods when gardening can be less effective.
