What tram line along the most beautiful Kyiv route looked like in 1959. A unique photo
Until 2011, there was a section of the tram line in Kyiv that could be called a part of the tourist route for its beauty. Thanks to the camera of an unknown amateur photographer, we can see the old electric tram cars that ran along Naberezhne Highway in 1959.
This was reported on the kyivkk Telegram channel. Unfortunately, this electric transport line no longer exists.
"The tram of route 28 on Naberezhne Highway is moving in the direction of the Paton Bridge. The location is approximately where the monument to the founders of Kyiv now stands. 1959," the post reads.
The photo shows part of one of the most beautiful electric transport routes in the capital, which ran from the Paton Bridge to Poshtova Square. Tram passengers had the opportunity to see the Dnipro River and its islands, including Trukhaniv.
In February 2011, the tram routes connecting the left and right banks of Kyiv were finally closed, and the rails were subsequently dismantled.
