What to stuff peppers with so that they are delicious and not dry: the perfect lunch dish
Stuffed peppers are a very tasty and hearty lunch dish. And to make it, you need a minimal amount of ingredients. Juicy meat and rice are perfect for the filling. Thanks to vegetables, the cereal will definitely not be dry.
The idea of cooking juicy stuffed peppers for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Maria Makarchuk (makarchuk food). For tomato sauce, it is best to use homemade juice.
Ingredients:
- pepper - 10 pcs
- meat - 500 g
- rice - 150 g (cover with boiling water)
- onion - 1 pc
- carrots - 1 pc
- tomatoes - 100 g or tomato sauce
- salt - to taste
- dry adjika or spices - 1 tbsp
- sour cream - 100 g
- tomato sauce - 150 ml
- water - 300 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Pour boiling water over rice and leave for a few minutes.
2. Dice the meat and fry it.
3. When the water has evaporated, add onion, carrot and chopped tomatoes.
4. Stew everything for 10 minutes.
5. Add sour cream and salt and spices to taste.
6. Mix everything and simmer for another 10 minutes.
7. Add the cooked fried meat to the rice (drain it first).
8. Stir everything together.
9. Stuff the cleaned peppers.
10. Dissolve ketchup (preferably homemade) in a glass of water.
11. Pour over the peppers.
12. Bring to a boil on the stove.
13. Then bake for an hour and a half.
