The Christmas and New Year's holiday season is coming soon. This means that the closest people will gather around the festive table to not only socialize with each other but also to taste many delicious main dishes, salads and desserts.

However, Ukraine is currently experiencing power outages, which are making cooking much more difficult. That's why FoodOboz offers you recipes that can be prepared without electricity.

Guacamole

This is an incredibly tasty appetizer made of avocado. It is perfect for everyday consumption as well as for serving on a festive table.

Ingredients

  • avocado - 1 pc
  • tomato - 1 pc
  • parsley - to taste
  • salt - to taste
  • lemon juice - ½ pc
  • onion - ¼ pc
  • ground white pepper

Method of preparation

1. Peel and mash the avocado with a fork. Add lemon juice and mix.

2. Finely chop the onion, tomato and parsley.

3. Mix all the ingredients.

4. Add white pepper and salt to taste.

Greek salad

This is a delicious, light, and healthy salad that is loved all over the world.

Ingredients

  • cucumber - 2 pcs
  • bell pepper - 1 pc
  • feta - 100 g
  • olive oil - 3 tbsp
  • dried oregano - ½ tsp
  • tomato - 2 pcs
  • red onion - 1 pc
  • olives - 15-20 pcs
  • lemon juice - 1-1,5 tbsp
  • black pepper - to taste

Method of preparation

1. Mix olive oil, black pepper and lemon juice in a separate container.

2. Cut the onion into thin rings.

3. Cut the rest of the vegetables and feta into fairly large cubes.

4. Cut the olives into rings.

5. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and add the dressing.

6. Mix thoroughly and serve.

Fruit salad

This dish is perfect as a festive dessert not only in times of power outages. It is very tasty and even children will like it.

Ingredients

  • pear - 2 pcs
  • orange - 1 pc
  • banana - 3 pcs
  • kiwi - 3 pcs
  • tangerine - 3 pcs
  • canned pineapple - 300 g
  • yogurt - 200 g

Method of preparation

1. Peel and wash all the fruits. Cut into small neat cubes.

2. Dice the pineapple and put it in a deep bowl with the rest of the fruit.

3. Add yogurt and mix thoroughly.

4. Serve, garnishing with chocolate or berries on top.
