What Lupin series is about?

In 1995, young Assane Diop survived the death of his father, who was accused of a crime he did not commit. 25 years later, Assane is involved in the theft of the necklace of the French Queen Marie Antoinette. The jewel, on display in the Louvre, belongs to the wealthy Pellegrini family. Assane wants to take revenge on this family, which unjustly accused his father of the theft.

In parallel with his illegal activities, Assane tries to find time for his son Raoul, who lives with his mother Claire, Assane's ex-girlfriend.

The filming of the series began at the end of 2019. The first three episodes were directed by Louis Leterrier. In March 2020, filming was interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic, and only scenes in the Louvre were filmed at that time.

The series stars Omar Sy, a French actor who won the César Award for Best Actor. Among his well-known acting works are such films as The Intouchables, Chocolat and others.

It's worth noting that all seasons of Lupin are available on Netflix.
