What special ingredient to add to liver pate for a good taste: the perfect appetizer for the holidays
Liver pate is a great holiday appetizer. You can simply spread the mass on bread or croutons. The most important thing is to combine the meat with the right ingredients.
The idea of making a light liver pate was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha Riabenko (olga riabenko). For a bright flavor, you need to add apples.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 600 g
- butter - 100 g
- apple - 1 pc.
- onion - 1 pc.
- carrot - 1 pc.
- thyme - 3-4 sprigs
- water - 100 ml.
- cream 33% - 250 ml.
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the liver, remove films and excess moisture.
2. Put the liver, apple, onion, carrot, thyme and butter in a baking dish.
3. Add salt and pepper and pour in the water.
4. Bake at 200 degrees for an hour.
5. Put everything in a blender and pour all the juice and cream out of the mold.
6. Grind until smooth and creamy.
7. Put the finished pate into the mold and let it cool at room temperature.
8. Put the pate in the refrigerator overnight and let it stabilize.
9. Serve the pate with your favorite bread and apricot jam (optional) or just a cup of tea.
