What affordable used cars are better not to buy - they will bring a lot of problems

A low price should not always be the deciding factor when buying a used car. Experts recommend avoiding these models from the list of available used cars - these vehicles have many reliability problems.

The anti-rating was published by What Car experts. They checked the secondary market for cars aged 6 to 20 years and identified a list of the worst gasoline models that owners are dissatisfied with.

The most unreliable used gasoline cars:

1. Opel Astra (2009-2015);
2. Mercedes-Benz C-Class (2014-2021);
3. Nissan Qashqai (2014-2021);
4. Nissan Micra (2010-2016);
5. Skoda Octavia (2004-2013);
6. Mini Cooper (2007-2014).

The anti-rating is headed by the Opel Astra of the generation before last. The main complaints from owners are frequent engine and air conditioning breakdowns.

The list of the worst cars includes such bestsellers as Skoda Octavia, also of the generation before last. Suspension parts and electronics are the most complained about. In addition, gasoline engines proved to be less reliable than diesel engines.

In last place (in this case, not the worst) is the Mini Cooper. According to experts, engine and electronics breakdowns are commonplace.
