Ukrainians massively buy used cars: which model is the most popular
In June, 18.6 thousand used passenger cars were imported to Ukraine, 7% more than in June 2013. Most of them - 49% - were gasoline-powered. The average age of used cars that were changed to Ukrainian license plates in June is 8.8 years. The most popular model was the Volkswagen Golf - 989 of these cars were imported.
This was reported by Ukrautoprom. It is noted that compared to May 2014, there were fewer used cars imported to Ukraine - by 4%.
"The largest share in this segment of the car market belonged to gasoline cars - 49%. This is followed by diesel cars - 22%, electric cars - 18%, cars with LPG - 6%, hybrids - 5%," the report says.
At the same time, it is noted that since the beginning of the year, almost 113.3 thousand used cars have been registrated in Ukraine. This is 30% more than in the same period in 2023.
What cars are the most popular among Ukrainians
The leader among imported used cars is Volkswagen Golf - 989 of them were imported. The top 10 also includes:
- Renault Megane - 691 units;
- Skoda Octavia - 598 units;
- Volkswagen Tiguan - 541 units;
- Volkswagen Passat - 500 units;
- Nissan Rogue - 470 units;
- Audi Q5 - 442 units;
- Tesla Model 3 - 419 units;
- Nissan Leaf - 410 units;
- Tesla Model Y - 367 units.
