Ukrainian employers are offering more than $900 for offline jobs: who they are looking for
Remote work is becoming increasingly popular in Ukraine. One of the reasons is the opportunity to earn an attractive sum without leaving home. In particular, some employers are willing to pay their employees UAH 40 thousand ($950) and more.
For example, an organization specializing in publishing scientific materials is looking for an editor to work with scientific journals and articles. They promise to pay from UAH 35,000 to 55,000 ($830-1,300). Among the requirements are:
- knowledge of English (B2 level)
- ability to edit articles
A company engaged in wholesale and retail sales is looking for a sales manager and offers salary of UAH 30,000 to 80,000 ($700-1,900). The requirements include successful B2B sales experience. It is noted that the newcomer must undergo a mandatory trial period in the company's office.
A hotel management company is looking for a tourism manager for UAH 50,000 to 60,000 ($1,100-1,400). The key responsibility is selling "according to customer requests: through calls, or messages on Instagram and Facebook; a well-established process of generating requests." The requirements include at least 2 years of experience in the field.
Which occupations saw the highest salary growth in Ukraine
At the same time, in 2024, the median salary in Ukraine increased the most for designers - by 64% (UAH 28,750 or $680). Salaries of SMM managers significantly increased too - by 62%, to an average of UAH 20,250 or $480. Additionally:
- computer repairmen - by 56%, to UAH 35,000 ($830)
- electricians - by 50%, to UAH 30,000 ($700)
- fitters - by 48%, to UAH 29,500 ($700)
The median salary is a statistical indicator that reflects the level of income in the middle of the salary distribution. It means that half of the employees receive a salary lower than the median, while the other - higher.
Unlike the average salary, which is calculated as the sum of all salaries divided by the number of employees, the median salary is a more stable indicator, as it is less dependent on very high or low salaries.
As reported earlier, according to the Deputy Minister of Economy Tetiana Berezhna, the most popular jobs in the Ukrainian labor market are electricians, seamstresses, plumbers and electric and gas welders. In general, employers are most often looking for service workers.
