Ukraine has completed its performance at the 2024 Olympics. Video
Murazi Mchedlidze, who was the last Ukrainian to compete at the 2024 Olympics, failed to win a bronze medal in freestyle wrestling. The 30-year-old from Dnipro lost to Azerbaijan's Magomedkhan Magomedov with a score of 0:10.
During the two weeks of the Games in Paris, Ukrainian athletes won 12 medals - 3 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze. By the number of medals, this was the second worst result in Ukraine's history at the Summer Olympics after Rio 2016, where it won 11.

Mchedlidze was inferior in activity and first received a verbal warning about passivity, and then 30 seconds in which to make a move. However, in the 2nd minute, Murazi missed a pass to the legs himself, after which the Azerbaijani was given 2 points.
Just before the break, the Ukrainian representative missed another takedown, and the score was devastating.
In the second half of the fight, it was clear that the Ukrainian fighter had almost no strength left. Magomedov constantly attacked and brought the score to 10:0.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Mchedlidze defeated South Africa's Nicholas De Lange 5-3 on his way to the bronze medal in the freestyle wrestling final of the 2024 Olympics.
The day before, Ukrainian wrestler Iryna Kolyadenko failed to win the 2024 Olympics in the 62 kg weight category. In the final, our three-time European champion lost to world No. 2 Sakura Motoki of Japan 1:12, earning Ukraine's fifth silver medal at the Paris Games.
