The new Chery Jaecoo 5 crossover was shown in a photo. This is a rival to inexpensive crossovers like the Toyota RAV4. The car from China will soon go on sale in the European market.
Motor1 reports on the novelty. The exterior of the Chinese crossover Chery Jaecoo 5 was made in a new style, the novelty does not look like the early models of the brand. However, it is similar to the Range Rover, but looks more sad and is made much cheaper.
The new Jaecoo 5 is based on the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro compact crossover. Visually, the car is closer to premium SUVs with clean, straight lines and a small amount of chrome decor. But it is still a city crossover from China.
This is evidenced by the modest powerplant. The car is offered with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 197 hp. Later, hybrid and electric variants will appear.
The length is 4380 mm (wheelbase is 2620 mm), width is 1860 mm, and height is 1650 mm. The trunk volume is up to 1180 liters with the rear seatbacks folded down. The price of the Chery Jaecoo 5 is about 33 thousand dollars for the base version. An excellent offer, if we talk about any competitor from well-known brands. But it is expensive for a Chinese car.
