Top 5 things in a hotel room better not to touch

Everyone knows that every time tourists check out of a hotel room, the staff cleans it, but we would like to point out that despite the fact that a lot of time is devoted to it, you should not blindly trust the process. When checking in, remember five things that are best left untouched.

These things include a down duvet, a remote control, a telephone, etc. Read more about what else should not be touched and why in the OBOZREVATEL article (to see the photo, scroll to the end).

A down duvet may not be washed between check-ins

Hotel expert Brandon Berkson noted that even if a tourist doesn't stay in a five-star hotel, they can always be sure that the sheets will be thoroughly washed between check-ins, but this is not always the case with down duvets.

"Some hotels don't change down duvets regularly. So, knowing this, I often remove it first before doing anything," Berkson said.

A TV remote control is another source of gems

Researchers have found that the remote control is the dirtiest item in the entire hotel, as it has been touched by hundreds or thousands of visitors. You should wipe it with a damp cloth before using it and wash your hands afterwards.

A telephone is a problem too

It's worth noting that no matter how chic and perfectly clean a hotel room is, telephones are always full of bacteria. By the way, the dirtiest place on a telephone is not the buttons, but the handset, which is put to face and breathed into. To avoid catching a cold or flu, you should always disinfect and wash your hands thoroughly after using it.

A faucet in the bathroom

A dangerous place literally teeming with bacteria. Note that despite the fact that the surface may shine, pathogenic bacteria, rust, and fungi accumulate inside it.

A peephole

You shouldn't touch this place in your hotel room, not because it's full of germs, but because it's a bit dangerous. When you check into a room, you need to inspect if there is a video camera built in. If a traveler notices one in a peephole, they should not be afraid to demand another room.
