Global sanctions, closed skies, rising prices, and explosions in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea have forced Russian tourists to consider domestic resorts. However, their vacation there turned out to be an unpleasant surprise. One of the tourists, a teacher from St. Petersburg, complained that the popular city of Sochi had changed beyond recognition.
In particular, he was shocked by the behavior of fellow vacationers and city residents. The teacher attributed their rudeness, aggressiveness, and impoliteness to the low standard of living, as reported by the Russian mass media.
The tourist encountered an unfriendly reception in a taxi, where he witnessed an argument between the driver and pedestrians. The taxi driver shouted at the people and informed the passengers that he did not intend to wait for them to cross the road, although traffic rules required him to let them pass.

The Russian tourist was unpleasantly surprised by the familiarity and rudeness of both locals and tourists who yelled at children and used impolite language in public places. According to the eyewitness, Russians addressed strangers with terms like "broad", "lad", and "kern".
"The city has changed for the worse, and the prices are exorbitant. The locals have become poorer, hence the irritability and rudeness. I won't go there. Never, in any weather. Although I want to go to the sea, it definitely won't be there," said the vacationer.
