The trailer for "The Order" with Jude Law as FBI agent has been released: when is the premiere
British actor Jude Law, who has already been nominated twice for an Oscar, has played what critics consider to be one of the best roles of his career. And viewers can finally see the trailer of his next work.
The Youtube channel of the film distributor Vertical has released a video for the crime thriller "The Order" ("Silent Brotherhood"), in which Law plays an FBI agent. The film has already been screened at the Venice and Zurich film festivals, and after the Venice premiere it received a 7-minute standing ovation.
The story is based on real events of the 1980s. Back then, there were several bank robberies and armored car thefts in Idaho. Agent Terry Husk, who was assigned to investigate, noticed a pattern in these events. Eventually, he came across the neo-Nazi terrorist group "The Order", which was planning to overthrow the constitutional order in the United States.
The film was directed by Justin Kurzel, who has already created a notable work in this genre – the biographical western "The True Story of the Kelly Gang" (2019). The screenplay for "The Order" was written by Zach Beilin ("King Richard"). He based his work on the book by the true-crime writer Kevin Flynn and screenwriter Harry Gerhardt, who also created the script for the TV movie "Nazi America: A Secret History".
Jude Law is portrayed by Terry Huska. He is opposed by Nicholas Hoult's character, the charismatic leader of The Order, Bob Matthews. In the trailer, he says his character's slogan: "In every revolution, someone has to fire the first shot." The cast of the film also includes Tye Sheridan (Player One, Get Set), Jerry Smollett (Birds of Prey and The Fantastic Harley Quinn), Alison Oliver (Saltburn), and Marc Maron (Reservoir Dogs).
The Order is due to be released in the US on December 6. It is not yet known whether it will be released in Ukrainian cinemas.
