The series "Slow Horses" was extended for two seasons at once: what is known

The spy series "Slow Horses," headed by Oscar winner Gary Oldman, will get two new seasons at once. We knew about the preparation of the fifth season earlier, but the news about the sixth season was revealed by the actor himself.

According to Screen Rant, Oldman announced the sixth part of the thriller during the recent Golden Globe Awards. Backstage at the ceremony, he gave a short interview in which he confirmed that the episodes for the sixth season are already in the process of filming.

The actor told the journalist that he would return to the set of the series right after the ceremony. The interviewer expressed surprise at Oldman's words, as it was known earlier that the filming of the fifth season of "Slow Horses" was completed. In response, the star of the series confirmed that this season will indeed be released soon on Apple TV+ platform, and the show's team is currently working on the sixth season.

New episodes of the popular spy thriller are expected to become available this year. It is not yet known exactly when the sixth installment of "Slow Horses" will be released.

"Slow Horses" debuted on Apple TV+ in 2022 and became an immediate hit. The show tells the story of the everyday life of the Slough House intelligence service, where failed MI5 agents are placed. There they find themselves under the leadership of the despotic drunkard Jackson Lamb (Oldman) and drown in paperwork. However, the arrival of River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) leads to the Slough House being drawn into a dangerous adventure.

The show is based on a series of novels by writer Mick Herron called "Slow Horses." The series has received high marks from both viewers and critics. It also won several BAFTA technical awards.
