The inexpensive Volkswagen ID.4 model is popular with customers and is the favorite model of Ukrainians in its segment. Together with the VW ID.3, the two electric cars are practical and affordable EVs on the market. Soon they will become even better.
According to Motor1, the German automaker is preparing a redesign of the VW ID.3 and ID.4 models. However, the changes will not be limited to their appearance - the electric vehicles will undergo a larg-scale modernization.
Thus, the interior will change too. The cars will receive modified multimedia systems (there have been problems with them) and an increased number of physical switches and real buttons. Almost no one liked the touchscreen monitors without alternatives.
The new Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4 are expected to go on sale from 2026. However, in the future, Volkswagen plans even more ambitious developments in the EV segment, as Rivian will help create the new 9th generation Volkswagen Golf, which will be electric.
The car will feature a new Scalable Systems Platform (SSP). The development will take place as part of a $5.8 billion joint venture between Volkswagen and Rivian.
