Petal pickled cabbage is a popular Ukrainian appetizer. In the autumn and winter, it can be seen on holiday tables, or it can be prepared every day instead of salads. The product is perfectly stored and does not lose its juiciness.
The idea of cooking delicious cabbage "Petal" was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Valeria with the nickname valeria pytel. You need to close it with a regular plastic lid.
Ingredients:
- cabbage - 1.3-1.5 kg
- beets - 2 pcs.
- garlic - 1 head
- bay leaves - 2 pcs.
- water - 1.5 liters
- sugar - 6 tbsp
- salt - 3 tbsp
- vinegar - 150 ml
- vegetable oil - 150 ml
- allspice peas - 6-7 pcs.
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the cabbage into large pieces.
2. Cut the beetroot into rings.
3. Put the beets, garlic, and then cabbage in the jar, pressing lightly, and so on in turn.
4. Add the bay leaves.
5. For the marinade, add sugar, salt, vinegar, oil and peppercorns to the water.
6. Put it on the fire.
7. When the marinade boils, turn off the heat and pour it over the cabbage.
8. Let cool and refrigerate for one day.
