Delicious and budget-friendly spread for sandwiches can be made from ordinary mushrooms. This appetizer will be a great addition to the festive table. It is very satisfying, moderately spicy and easy to prepare.
The idea of cooking the most delicious mushroom spread was published on the Instagram page of the chef Olha Ryabenko (olga riabenko) . This dish can be stored in a glass container for a long time.
Ingredients:
- champignons or forest mushrooms - 1.5 kg.
- onions - 500 g
- carrots - 300 g
- vegetable oil - 100-200 ml.
- garlic - 4 cloves
- thyme
- salt, pepper - to taste
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the mushrooms and cut them into small pieces. If you are cooking with wild mushrooms, you need to boil them.
2. Chop the onion and garlic, grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
3. Heat a frying pan with oil and fry the vegetables until golden brown.
4. Add mushrooms and thyme. Fry over medium heat until vegetables are tender.
5. Pass the prepared vegetables through a meat grinder or grind in a blender, season with salt and pepper and add nutmeg.
6. Put the spread in sterilized jars.
