Ingredients for the dough
- Lard – 200 gr
- Sour cream – 200 gr
- Flour – 450 g
- Poppy seeds – 2 tbsp
Additional ingredients
- Powdered sugar
- Protein
- Sugar
- Chopped nuts
The way of preparation
1. Add the butter to the sifted flour, and grind with your hands to form crumbs.
2. Add the sour cream and knead the soft dough.
3. Divide the dough into 2 parts. Add poppy seeds to one of them.
4. Wrap both pieces in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
5. Roll out a piece of poppy seed dough about 4 mm thick and cut out cookies using cookie cutters.
6. Bake in a preheated 180-degree oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
7. Roll the cold cookies in powdered sugar.
8. Roll out another piece of dough, cut out cookies, dip one side in egg white, and sprinkle with sugar and nuts. Bake in the same way as the previous one.
