The story
The book tells the story of old best friends who used to spend one week together every year on summer vacation. However, everything changed two years ago when they stopped communicating.
Eventually, the main character Poppy decides that it's time to mend their relationship and convinces Alex to go on a trip together once again. However, they are confronted with one hidden truth. They will have to figure out whether their friendship does not really imply a romantic context.
The main roles
The main roles in the film adaptation were given to the stars of the series "My Lady Jane" and "The Hunger Games: A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, namely Tom Blyth and Emily Bader.
Netflix recently released a video of Emily Bader learning that she will be starring alongside Tom Blyth in the new movie. Later, the author joined the actors to congratulate the pair, noting that she was sure that readers and new fans would fall in love with their versions of the characters.
The film will be directed by Brett Haley and adapted by Yulin Kuang. The movie is also being created as part of a partnership between Sony and Netflix.
