Suzette gourmet French pancakes: how to cook them correctly
Suzette is a French pancake served with orange sauce that is sure to please everyone. This is an easy-to-prepare but extremely delicious dish that can be prepared every day or serve as an incredible decoration for any holiday table.
According to the original recipe, Suzette pancakes are served with orange liqueur and then flambéed. However, even without alcohol and manipulations with fire, they look great and taste great to absolutely everyone. Food blogger Yulia Mikulich is sure of this, as she showed on Instagram how to make delicious French pancakes without much effort.
Ingredients for 11 pancakes
- Eggs - 2 pcs
- Sugar - 45 gr
- Vanilla sugar - 1 tsp
- Flour - 135 g
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Milk - 400 ml
Ingredients for the orange sauce
- Butter - 60 gr
- Sugar - 70 g
- Orange juice - 120 ml
- Orange zest - 1 pc
The way of preparation
1. Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar.
2. Add oil, sifted flour and milk. Beat until smooth.
3. Heat a frying pan and grease with vegetable oil.
4. Fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown.
5. Prepare the sauce. In a saucepan, mix the butter, juice and zest of an orange.
6. Turn on the heat and bring the sauce to homogeneity, then cook for 10 minutes.
7. Heat a small piece of butter in a large frying pan.
8. Fold the pancakes into a triangle and place them in a circle on the pan.
9. Pour over the orange sauce and heat for 5 minutes.
