Some information about this model has emerged. Auto Express reports about the new VW ID.3. The German automaker is preparing a redesign of the ID.3. It is expected that the appearance of the electric car will be more unambiguous and stylish, with the usual elements for the brand. However, the design will not be limited to a change of design – the electric car will undergo a large-scale modernization.
Changes to the interior have been announced. The car will receive a modified multimedia system (there have been problems with this system) and an increased number of physical switches and real buttons. Almost no one liked the non-alternative touchscreen monitors.
The new Volkswagen ID.3 is expected to be available by 2026. A similar update program is being prepared for the VW ID.4 crossover. However, in the future, Volkswagen plans even more ambitious developments in the EV segment. Rivian will help create the new 9th generation Volkswagen Golf, which will be an electric car.
A new Scalable Systems Platform (SSP) is being prepared for the car. The development will take place as part of a $5.8 billion joint venture between Volkswagen and Rivian.
