Smashed carrots: an original idea for cooking a familiar vegetable
If it's no surprise that the appetizer "Smashed Cucumbers" is no longer a staple, "Smashed Carrots" can be a real discovery for everyone who wants to try something new and add bright colors to their diet.

Ingredients
- Baby carrots - 500 g
- Water - ½ cup
- Olive oil - 1 tbsp
- Grated Parmesan cheese - ½ cup
- Ranch seasoning - 2 tsp.
- Parsley - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and cover a baking sheet with parchment.
2. Place the carrots in a microwave-safe container with a lid. Cover with water and microwave for 8-10 minutes, or until the carrots are tender. Drain well after cooking.
3. Place the carrots on a baking sheet and press down with the bottom of a glass. Brush with olive oil.
4. Sprinkle each carrot evenly with Parmesan cheese and ranch seasoning.
5. Bake in a preheated oven until crispy and golden brown around the edges for 20-25 minutes.
6. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with ranch dressing if desired.
