Simple homemade bread kvass: recipe from an AFU soldier
Kvass is a drink made through live fermentation. It is extremely tasty and refreshing. Kvass also satisfies hunger well.
A chef of the 141st Separate Infantry Brigade with the call sign Viking shared on his official YouTube channel the recipe he uses to make kvass for his comrades. According to him, this drink should be consumed within three days.
Ingredients
- water - 25 liters
- sugar - 1.8 kg
- instant coffee - 8 tsp
- dry yeast - 6-7 tsp
- citric acid - 2 tsp
- lemon - 3 pieces
Method of preparation.
1. Pour water into a large container.
2. Slice the lemons and add them to the container.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients.
4. Let it stand in a cool place for 6 to 12 hours to ferment.
5. Pour into bottles and consume chilled within three days.
