''Silence does not equal consent'': Lasitskene calls the war in Ukraine a ''one-word word'' in her letter to Maguchikh

"I am very sorry that the relations between our countries have affected your attitude towards me. I did not allow myself to do so after Tokyo and I will not allow it now. Every day I think about you and your family being well. Forgive me for my weakness, I could not find the words, I was afraid that my "how are you?" would make you even angrier. Because the answer to this question is clear. And I was sure that nothing I could say would ease your feelings and suffering. I can't do anything about this ###### (Sports.ru situation), and it breaks my heart. But silence does not equal consent," Lasitskene said.
