The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) is considering the possibility of signing Shakhtar Donetsk legionnaire of Brazilian descent Pedrinho. The national federation has already held talks with the 26-year-old player, who has no matches in his country's national team.

This is reported by the Trileva portal. Pedrinho joined Shakhtar in the summer of 2021 for €18 million. He played 19 matches for the Miners, scoring four goals and making three assists. After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the footballer joined Atlético Mineiro on loan.

Before the start of this season, Pedrinho returned to the Donetsk club and went with them to the training camp in Slovenia. The UAF highly appreciates the skills of the Brazilian midfielder and would like to see him in the Ukrainian national team.

Pedrinho's entourage is positive about consultations on the possibility of the player obtaining Ukrainian citizenship. In addition, it is known that UAF President Andriy Shevchenko initiated the naturalization of Marlos and Junior Moraes while working for the Ukrainian national team.
