Samsa for a snack: a recipe for a hearty appetizer made from puff pastry and fillet

Samsa is an extremely popular appetizer in Uzbek cuisine. It resembles a so-called envelope, which is based on puff pastry and filling. The filling can be meat, mushrooms, minced meat, cheese, and even vegetables or offal.

One of the sports and nutrition blogs (fasting_marafon) published a recipe for samsa with chicken fillet on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • unleavened puff pastry - 500 g
  • chicken fillet - 350 g
  • onion - 1 pc
  • chicken egg - 1 pc
  • sesame seeds

Method of preparation:

1. To prepare the filling, chop the onion and fillet. Mix the ingredients together, season with salt and pepper.

2. Roll out the puff pastry thinly, cut into squares. Put the filling on each of them and secure the sides. Place on a baking sheet.
