On the night of September 1, drones attacked several power plants in the territory of the terrorist country Russia. Fires broke out at two of the power plants in the Tver and Moscow regions.

The Russian authorities claim that it was allegedly the work of air defense, but eyewitnesses claim direct hits. This is reported by Russian Telegram channels.

In the Tver region, the Konakovo State District Power Plant came under drone attack. Governor Ihor Rudenya claims that air defense forces allegedly shot down the drone near the town of Konakovo, while a total of 5 UAVs were spotted approaching the settlement.

At the same time, eyewitnesses reported a fire in Konakovo, where one of the largest power plants in central Russia is located.

A video from one of the premises of Konakovo SDPP after the drone attack was published online. The footage shows significant damage to the power plant's equipment and broken windows.

Konakovo SDPP is one of the largest power plants in central Russia and the eighth largest thermal power plant in Russia. The installed electric capacity of the plant is 2520 MW, and the thermal capacity is 120 Gcal/h.

A fire also broke out at the Kashira SDPP in the Moscow region. Kremlin propagandists cited local authorities as saying that three drones tried to attack the territory of the power plant at night. At the same time, they claimed that "there were no casualties or damage".

However, eyewitnesses posted a video showing an explosion near the SDPP. According to them, a fire broke out on the territory of the power plant after the drone attack.

Local officials claim that "there was no fire, and electricity is being supplied to customers as usual." It is also reported that emergency services are working at the site.

Kashira TPP provides electricity, heat and hot water to the Kashira-2 neighborhood, home to about 25,000 people. In 2021, the power plant began large-scale equipment modernization.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that 158 Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs were destroyed and intercepted by air defense systems on duty overnight. The terrorist agency reported that 46 drones were destroyed and intercepted over the territory of Kursk region, 34 over the territory of Bryansk region, 28 over the territory of Voronezh region, 14 over the territory of Belgorod region, eight over the territory of Ryazan region, two over Moscow, seven over the Moscow region, five over the territory of Kaluga region, four over the territory of Lipetsk region, three over the territory of Tula region, two over the territory of Tambov and Smolensk regions, and one over the territory of Orel, Tver and Ivanovo regions.

As a reminder, on September 1, the aggressor country Russia complained about a massive drone attack. They were flying towards the Russian capital Moscow, and explosions were also reported in Tula, Kursk, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Ryazan, and Bryansk regions.

As reported, Belgorod residents continue to complain about "Ukrainian drone attacks." This time, two Russians, including one of the local officials, were allegedly injured.
