A Russian travel blogger visited the Komsomolsk-on-Amur bus station in the "picturesque" Khabarovsk region. Instead of advanced technology and a flourishing civilization, the traveler was greeted by a portal to the 1980s.

The author himself characterized the area in one apt phrase: "Poverty is our everything." One user even found a photo from 1976, captioning it "Find, as they say, 10 differences. And in which direction these differences are."

The blogger described the "cozy" bus station that welcomes city guests as one that makes you want to leave as soon as possible, "without staying a minute." Along with the "retro ticket machine", one can see a gloomy ticket office and an old timetable that has not been updated for many years.

At the station, you can usually buy "fragrant" pies, which the author does not recommend tasting, and must-haves for the road – a window thermometer and Belarusian socks. "The only thing that really distinguishes the 'modern' bus station from its version from the 80s is the fence. It seems to be more nominal than really protecting from bad beards with evil intentions. But the good old station tavern remains in place," the publication says.

An advertisement for a hotel can be seen near the entrance to the Komsomolsk-on-Amur bus station. "After seeing what I saw inside and near the station, it's scary to even imagine what kind of hotel is there for 1,000 rubles (427 hryvnias) per day," the blogger notes.

The author adds that the standard of modernity of the station was a barrier that someone broke in half. "Now they just pulled a rope through the wreckage and the exit from the station is opened as in the old days: by removing the rope from the hook," the Russian says.
