On April 16, Polish farmers stopped blocking the Dolhobyczów-Uhryniv checkpoint on the Ukrainian border. Now trucks are moving in this direction as usual, although queues still remain after the blockade. Yahodyn and Rava-Ruska remain blocked.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS). "Polish farmers have stopped blocking truck traffic in front of the Dovhobychiv-Uhryniv checkpoint," the statement said.

It is noted that as of 14.45, there were queues to leave Ukraine in front of this checkpoint. In particular, 100 trucks were waiting.

In the opposite direction, another 30 trucks were waiting to enter Ukraine from Poland. These were trucks with a gross vehicle weight of up to 7.5 tons.

As a reminder, the Poles resumed the blockade of the Uhryniv checkpoint on April 2. Before that, on March 28, it was possible to pass through it freely.

It is noteworthy that before the lifting of the blockade, the protesters at Uhryniv had not allowed a single truck from Ukraine to Poland to cross the border. Currently, the situation is similar at the Yagodyn and Rava-Ruska checkpoints.

Also, according to SBGS spokesman Andriy Demchenko, in the morning of April 16, there were still queues at the previously unblocked Krakivtsi and Shehyni checkpoints – 900 and 450 trucks, respectively. However, there is intense traffic in these directions, both to leave and enter Ukraine, Demchenko emphasized.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, in general, Polish farmers plan to continue the blockade of the Ukrainian border at least until April 30. Before that, the strikers promised to end the protests in early March but extended the blockade.
