Perfect classic dumplings: do not fall apart and turn out very soft
Homemade dumplings can never be compared to store-bought ones. With simple dough and water, you can make a perfect dish that won't fall apart or stick together. Moreover, the filling inside will be very juicy.
The idea of making delicious classic dumplings was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname cook time love. The recipe is very budget-friendly.
Ingredients for the dough:
- flour - 600 g
- egg - 1 pc
- oil - 2 tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 250 ml
Ingredients for the filling:
- minced meat - 400 g
- onion - 1/2 (the other half for the broth)
- garlic - 2 cloves
- bay leaf
- peppercorns
- salt/pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Add salt, egg, oil and water to flour.
2. Knead elastic dough.
3. Leave for 30 minutes.
4. Mix the ingredients for the filling (minced meat, onion, garlic, and salt/pepper).
5. Roll out the dough, cut out circles, and put some minced meat in the center of each.
6. Form the dumplings.
7. Pour water into a saucepan and salt it.
8. As soon as the water boils, add the dumplings, onion, peppercorns and bay leaf.
10. Cook until tender.
