One of those killed near Kharkiv was just fishing nearby: details of the Russian army's terrorist attack emerge

Five people were killed by Russian ballistic missiles in Cherkaska Lozova, Kharkiv region, as of 14:00 on Sunday, May 19, three of them were identified by documents. Among the victims was a local resident who was fishing 100 meters from the recreation center.

A pregnant woman also died. The details were shared by the head of the Kharkiv Police Investigation Department, Serhiy Bolvinov, Suspilne reports.

The search team divided the area into squares because the area was overgrown and searched for victims and wounded."One of the victims died 100 meters from the base, he was fishing. He washit in the heart by a piece of shrapnel," said the law enforcement officer.

Russian troops fired two missiles at the base. The second arrived 15-20 minutes after the first.

"At the time of the strike, there were only residents of the city who were on vacation. During the full-scale invasion, there were never any military personnel here," Bolvinov emphasized.

As a reminder, as of 13:40 on Sunday, five civilians were killed and 16 others injured in Cherkaska Lozova. Among the wounded are a police officer, a paramedic, and an 8-year-old child. A woman who was seven months pregnant sustained fatal injuries.

As OBOZ.UA wrote, the invaders have not yet been able to realize their tactical intentions during the offensive in Kharkiv region. Defense forces are holding them back along the contact line.
