Olivier salad in a new way, without sausage: a recipe for a delicious and popular dish for the whole family
Olivier is a very simple and tasty salad made with sausage in the classic version, but it can be replaced with baked fillets and seafood.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious olivier salad made without mayonnaise and with canned peas.
Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 2 pcs.
- Carrots - 1-2 pcs
- Eggs - 2-3 pcs.
- Chicken (fillet or thigh fillet) - 2 pcs.
- Canned peas - 1/2 can
- Pickled cucumbers
- Mayonnaise 30% + sour cream
- Salt and pepper
- Squid tentacles - 1 large
Method of preparation:
1. Put the carrots on the foil, pour a little oil, add salt and pepper. Wrap the foil, put in a preheated oven to 180-200 degrees, bake until soft and tender.
2. Also wrap the potatoes and put them in the oven, and fry the chicken until golden brown in a frying pan with oil, add salt and pepper, wrap them in foil and put them in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
3. Boil the eggs. Then peel and dice the potatoes and carrots, eggs, chicken, and pickles. Pour in the peas, add sour cream and mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Bake the potatoes and carrots as in the first recipe. Boil the eggs.
5. Brush the squid tentacles with oil, add salt and pepper. Add a little more oil to the pan and send the tentacles to fry, often the tentacles are pre-boiled, but it is better to fry over low heat for about 15-20 minutes and it turns out very tasty. When ready, cut them into thin slices, sprinkle with lemon juice if desired.
6. Put the frozen peas in boiling water for 5-7 minutes, then immediately pour cold water over them.
7. Mix the diced potatoes, carrots, eggs, cucumber, pour in the peas, add mayonnaise and sour cream, salt and pepper.
When serving, put squid slices on top and, if available, caviar!
