Most successful fried pies with minced meat
Pies can be made with different doughs, including pita bread. However, culinary experts still advise making choux pastry for them, as it is ideal for fried pies.
- minced meat - 500 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- salt, pepper - to taste
- flour - 300-400 g
- warm water - 125 ml
- dry yeast - 4 g
- sugar - 0.5 tbsp
- yolks - 2 pcs.
- boiling water - 125 ml
- flour - 30 g
- salt - 0.5 tsp
- vegetable oil - 20 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Choux dough: mix flour and salt, add oil and boiling water, and mix until smooth. Dissolve yeast and sugar in water and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Then add egg yolks and warm custard mixture and mix.
2. Gradually add 360-380 g of flour to the custard mixture and knead a soft dough. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in a warm place; the dough should double in size.
3. Divide the dough into 50 g pieces, roll out and cover with plastic wrap. Form patties and put the minced meat filling with onions and spices. Cover again for 15 minutes.
4. Fry the pies in the heated oil, cover the pan with a lid and cook over medium heat until golden brown.
