Magyar placek: a delicious recipe from my grandmother's notebook
Magyar placek is a wonderful type of pastry whose recipe can be found in many mothers' notebooks. It is delicious and extremely beautiful.

Ingredients for the dough
- Sour cream - 4 tbsp
- Ammonium - 1 tsp.
- Margarine - 250 gr.
- Flour - 5 cups
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
Additional ingredients
- Thick jam
- Nuts
Ingredients for the cream
- Sour cream - 500 gr.
- Vanilla sugar - 1 packet
- Powdered sugar - 5 tbsp.
Method of preparation
1. Add ammonium to the sour cream, mix and set aside.
2. Grind margarine with flour into crumbs, add sugar, mix.
3. Add eggs, sour cream with ammonium, and knead the dough. Divide into 4 parts.
4. Dust with flour and roll out each part on parchment, forming a rectangle 24*30 cm in size.
5. Spread jam on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
6. Bake each cake for about 15 minutes at t200. Leave to cool.
7. For the cream, add vanillin sugar and powdered sugar to the sour cream and beat until fluffy.
8. Spread all but the top layer of the cake. Let stand for an hour at room temperature and refrigerate.
