Leader of the band "Poshlaya Molly" is prosecuted for disrespecting the Polish language
The leader of the Ukrainian rock band Poshlaya Molly, Kirill Tymoshenko, better known by his pseudonym Bledny, has filed a complaint with the Polish prosecutor's office. The plaintiff is a Ukrainian journalist, author of the blog "Ukrainian in Poland" Igor Kravets.
This became known from Kravets's page on the X platform (Twitter). The statement was a reaction to the recent scandal involving the artist, who called on Poles to speak a "normal" language - Russian. As it turned out later, Kirill's words were a joke, but Poles and Ukrainians did not appreciate such humor.
Ihor Kravets considers the singer's opinion disrespectful and sees it as incitement to commit a crime. The author also notes that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Kirill Bledny changed his place of residence - he moved from Russia to Poland. "I hope that he will be interrogated soon and will hear the accusations from the prosecutor," the journalist added, attaching a photo of the statement to the post.
We would like to remind you that recently the frontman of the Russian-language band Poshlaya Molly, Kirill Bledny, who is originally from Ukraine but built his career in Russia, got into a loud scandal. He swearfully stated that Poles should "learn a normal language," meaning Russian. The singer also added that Poland should join the Russian Empire.
Later, the Ukrainian apologized, explaining that his words were a joke, and that people simply did not understand his humor. However, it was too late - 5 concerts of "Poshlaya Molly" that were to take place in major cities of Poland were canceled.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA told about Bledny's apology, which caused another dissonance among the band's fans. After attempting to justify himself, the singer then advertised a Russian airline ticketing service. Read all the details in our article.
