Kia may change the design of its new low-cost model due to negative feedback
The new Kia Tasman 2025 model year is a long-awaited low-cost model with a practical body. As customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the design, the company is willing to change it.
Despite the fact that the model has not yet been premiered, Kia has almost completely declassified the design of the long-awaited pickup truck. Potential buyers have had time to familiarize themselves with the style and share their thoughts. According to Motor1, the manufacturer has already responded to the feedback.
The discussion revolved around the pronounced wheel arches that stand out against the body and are made of unpainted plastic. Kia noted that these elements can also be painted in the body color, which will make them less noticeable. Additionally, the company will offer arch covers as an accessory that will change the design.
The Kia Tasman will be unveiled at the end of October. The new model will go into production in Korea in 2025. You will get a 200-horsepower diesel pickup with a four-cylinder engine. A powerful V6 may be available later.
The vehicle will be offered with a transmission with different driving modes, and all-wheel drive can be locked forcibly. During testing, the car was spotted with Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. Thus, the Korean manufacturer has identified key rivals in the segment.
