Juicy chicken with a crispy crust: we share the secret of cooking
Very often, chicken meat turns out to be burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. To make the meat juicy and tasty, you need to fry it well first, then fry the onions separately, and then cook the meat and onions together.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious fried chicken thighs with spices, onions, and garlic.
Ingredients:
- Chicken thighs with skin (always boneless) – 4 pcs
- Lime (can be replaced with lemon) – 1/2 pc
- Turmeric – 1 tsp
- Sugar – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Onion – 1 large
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Cilantro – a bunch
Method of preparation:
1. Dry the meat with a paper towel.
2. Place the meat skin side down in a cold frying pan. Drizzle with lime juice, sprinkle with salt and 1/2 liter of water. Gradually, the chicken will begin to release fat and brown. Cook until the skin is crispy and golden.
3. Finely chop the onion and garlic and put them in the same pan. Add salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric and sugar. Cook under the lid for 10 minutes over low heat until the onions are very soft.
4. Put the onions on a plate. Put the chicken thighs on top and sprinkle with cilantro. Serve with rice, it will be delicious!
