Ukraine national team forward Artem Dovbyk will continue his career at Italian side Roma. The 27-year-old footballer became the first representative of our country in the wolves' camp.

This was reported by the official website of Roma. The Giallorossi press service also notes that the Italian club bought the current top scorer of the European top championship for the first time in its history, recalling that Artem won the scoring race in the Spanish championship as a member of Girona.

Nothing has been announced about the details of the contract between Dovbyk and Roma yet. It is known that the Ukrainian will play under the number 11 shirt in the Italian capital. For the sake of his transfer, our compatriot took a crazy step, giving up a large sum of money.

According to media reports, Girona will receive almost 40 million euros for the player. At the same time, Dnipro-1 and the Danish club FC Midtjylland will receive part of this money.

It should be noted that unlike Girona and Atletico Madrid, which also claimed our compatriot, Roma will not play in the Champions League. The Italians have made it to the Europa League, where they will be the highest-ranked team.

Dovbyk was a real sensation in the last Spanish league. He joined Girona in August 2023 and immediately won a place in the first team. The Ukrainian has played 39 matches for the Catalans in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and providing 10 assists.
