The liver is a very valuable and tasty product that can be the basis for making delicious, warm salads, pates, and snacks. It is worth noting that to prevent the liver from becoming bitter, it should be soaked in milk for at least 30 minutes.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious, flavorful pate with butter, onions, and carrots on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Liver 600 g
- Milk 0,5 l
- Butter 60 g
- Onion 1 pc
- Carrot 1 pc
- Rum 1 tbsp
- Nutmeg pinch
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper 1/3 tsp (white pepper can be used)
- Cream 30% 300 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the liver from the film, cut it into equal pieces, and cover it with milk for 30 minutes (it will remove the unpleasant odor and blood residues).
2. Fry the onions and carrots until the carrots are soft, add rum, butter, and nutmeg.
3. Cook the liver on charcoal until fully cooked or bake in the oven.
4. Put all the ingredients in a blender, add cream, salt, and pepper. Grind and place in the refrigerator until it hardens, you can pour melted butter on top.
