Pilaf with meat and healthy vegetables is the best dish for dinner. To make the pilaf crumbly, it is better to cook it in a frying pan and not stir it during the cooking process.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious pilaf with meat, onions and carrots, garlic, and spices on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- elongated rice – 2 cups
- any meat – 500 g
- carrot – 1 pc
- onion – 1 pc
- oil – 50-70 g
- garlic – 1 head
- spices for pilaf, pepper, salt to taste
- water
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the meat and cut it. Peel and cut the onion into thin half rings. Peel the carrots and cut them into strips. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry the onion until lightly golden, add the meat and fry a little, add the carrots, fry everything together, stirring for 3 minutes.
2. Next, add water to the vegetables and meat (the water should cover it), then add salt. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Next, add the rice, spread it over the surface without stirring, and add water to cover the rice by 1.5-2 cm. Put the garlic head inside and cook the pilaf without a lid until the liquid is almost completely evaporated.
3. When the water has evaporated in the pilaf, make a few holes. Cover and leave the pilaf to cook for 15-20 minutes until tender (over low heat).
