The first trailer for Nosferatu, written and directed by Robert Eggers, has been released recently. He took on the responsibility of creating a high-quality remake of the 1922 silent film of the same name, which became one of the cult adaptations of the vampire franchises.

The gloomy trailer garnered over six million views in a few days. In the comments, it was called "one of the most exciting" films of recent years and "a future masterpiece".

The gothic film will tell the story of Ellen Hutter, played by Lily-Rose Depp, who is plagued by nightmares. The heroine turns to a professor and vampire hunter played by Willem Dafoe in search of salvation.

According to Focus Features, Nosferatu is a film about "the obsession of a girl and a terrible vampire who falls in love with her and causes unspeakable terror." It will not be romantic. Already in the trailer, you can read fear and panic in the eyes of a young girl who is obsessed with a vampire.

The director did not reveal all the trump cards. Even the video only slightly lifted the veil of events on the screen, minimizing dialogues and hiding the main plot twists. The interest in the upcoming premiere is fueled not only by the director's success in the horror genre but also by the fact that this story has not had serious remakes in a long time.

Count Orlok was played by Bill Skarsgård, who really succeeded in getting into the role. He told us that he learned to lower his voice timbre to the lowest possible level and spent up to 6 hours a day in makeup and costumes.

The movie promises to be tense, visually rich and very atmospheric. For this purpose, the production team used not only dark color correction and costumes of another era but also selected appropriate locations, including a palace, a hospital, mountains, etc.
