If there is no spare tire: how to drive a car with a flat tire
A flat tire can happen to any driver. A sharp trifle on the road is especially dangerous for old tires. And no matter how hard manufacturers try to make tires resistant, you still need to know how to get help with a punctured tire. Especially if you don't have a spare tire for such a case.
OBOZREVATEL has collected a few life hacks that may come in handy if such an unfortunate thing happens to you. All of these solutions are very temporary and will allow you to get to the nearest tire service station - you won't be able to drive like this for a long time.
If a nail or other sharp object is stuck in your tire and sticks out, don't pull it out, but push it in deeper. It will block the puncture and keep the tire from going flat for a while.
If you can't find the puncture, connect a pump to the wheel and start pumping air into the tire while pouring water on it. The bubbles will tell you where the damage is located. If it is small, a screw that needs to be screwed into the hole will help close it. You can find such screws in the interior - they hold the trim and plastic parts.
Some craftsmen unscrew the spool from the wheel, pour a liter of water inside, and pump it up to the desired pressure. If you can handle this task, you can try this method.
A makeshift plug for a punctured tire made of cloth or even grass can help you get to the nearest tire service. But this is a very unreliable option to rely on when you know for sure that help will be provided somewhere very close by.
