"If there are no bribed judges": boxing legend passes judgment on Fury in the fight with Usyk

Oleksandr ChekanovNews
Foreman gave a forecast for the Usyk-Fury fight

Legendary American boxer George Foreman believes Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) is the favorite to fight Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) on May 18. According to the former absolute world heavyweight champion, only biased refereeing can help the Briton defeat the Ukrainian.

Foreman said this in an interview with Boxing Scene. The 75-year-old American emphasized that Usyk will use his speed and take round after round on points. In addition, the Ukrainian can hold a punch, which puts Fury in a very difficult position.

"All Usyk has to do – and he's pretty smart – is win the first round, the second, the third... Okay, you can give away the fourth, but then come back and take the next one. It will get to the point where Usyk won't have to worry about winning on points. He's a reliable fighter. So Fury is in a difficult situation. If there are no bought judges, then Usyk will win this fight," said Foreman.

The same prediction was made by Russian Vasily Voitsekhovsky, who predicted the Ukrainian's victory. Usyk himself spoke about ending his career.

The day before, it became known what was depicted on Oleksandr's shorts in the May 18 fight. And artificial intelligence suggested how the fight between Usyk and Fury would end.

Before that, Tyson also reaffirmed that he would hold two fights against Usyk this year. The British promoter Frank Warren mentioned Russian Nikolai Valuev, promising that his wards would defeat the Ukrainian.

Earlier, the boxing teams had a fight that resulted in an autopsy for Tyson's father. Ukrainian Stanislav Stepchuk, who was hit in the head by John Fury, commented on the incident.
